Project 4.0
Explanation
Me and five other students were assigned to create a project for Cipal-Schaubroeck, a company who specializes in creating IT-solutions for the Belgian government. We had to compete with two other teams to create the best product.
Our assignment was to build a cheap IoT device that can detect vehicles on the road and estimate their speed. The device had to be able to stay powered on for a couple of days and monitored remotely via an online dashboard.
My part of the project was mostly the Linux/Raspberry Pi part, cybersecurity and creating a case for the hardware.
Used technologies:
- Raspberry Pi
- Linux
- NB-IoT
- Machine learning
- Object recognition
- 3D printing
Applied skills:
- Working in a team
- Creating a product for a customer
- Splitting up large projects into small, manageable parts
- Agile & Scrum
